Lindrala quickly followed the Zeltron she deflected more blaster fire away from them as they ran to regroup with the others.

Aspen runs as fast as he can to Aya and some cover, his seared, withering leaves start to fall off from Agatha's (Star fighter Rain) sear his body "Guys not to impose but could I get a glass of water from anyone, I might be on my last blooms over here!"

Skye fires a few more shots at the enemy fighters, now back with the group she hears Aspen's request and shakes her head. "Perhaps if you ask one of these damn weather witches nicely enough they'll make it rain for you tree."

Oyo escorts Aspen and Aya towards the gate, deflecting attacks with his lightsaber, when they come to his direction. He remains silent as they slowly regroup at the gate.

Axo rolls behind a cover as imperial troopers open fire at him from the dropship. Unaware that their guns have been hacked, as soon imperial troopers open fire at him again, the guns explode in their hands, knock them down on the floor, and one of them falls out of the dropship onto the ground. Axo uses this opportunity to leave his cover, and runs towards the gate to regroup with the others.

Murriel heads toward Opegg, looking at him dumbfounded. No sooner than she left the control of the last turret than she was needed at the gate. The Zeltron gave the Mandalorian an incredulous stare. "What WOULD you Guys have done if I wasn't here? Was this all part of the plan, just do everything without any tech support?!?!"

Opegg steps forward and shoots, but his shotgun can do only so much at this range. "This isn't the time Zeltron! Open the gate! We'll cover you!" With the crew being regrouped at the gate, imperial starfighters will not risk damaging the Fortress. Instead more dropships arrive., bringing more imperial troopers, that slip down the ropes. They attack the remaining mandalorians in the cortyard, but some menage to reach the gate, and support with the cover fire. The troopers open fire towards the gate, and its only shield are the three Jedi, Lindrala, Oyo, and Aya, who can deflect the attacks, for now. Only Apple still did not make it to the gate. He runs towards it as fast as he can, but he is not in perfect condition, having his time spent mostly on studying and becoming tech specialist instead of working out and training. He breathes heavily and trips over a rock, dropping his pistol onto the ground. An imperial trooper catches up with him and when he was about to shoot him, Apple flames him with his Pyro CTI, while still on the ground in laying position. He reaches out for his pistol and stands up, then continues running towards the gate, holding for his hurt knee. "C'mon Apple, you can make it!" - Opegg shouts nervously towards Apple. Will Murriel be able to open the gate in time for everyone to pass through?

Murriel's Turn

“My name…is Murriel.”

Stabbing the terminal with a spike as she speaks defiantly, still looking at the Mando before her CTI beeps connection. Flipping two switches she links in to the algorithm and starts peeling away layers of the security. “It’s not a question of how…but when…” She murmurs to herself, beginning to smile wickedly as she talks to the terminal. “Come on, baby…take it all off….”

Fortress' Gate opens for the crew, just enough for every person to pass through individually, and they begin storming inside. The mandalorians that make it through dispatch the hostiles inside and secure the area. As soon Lindrala steps over the tresspass, a shiver cuts through the Force, its cold, and it whispers to her ear with a well familiar voice: "Lindrala ..." The gate was opened in time, and Apple did not have to wait for his turn to pass through the gate. As he enters the Fortress the last, he uses the console inside to close the gate behind him, and leans against it, breathing heavily.



There are three paths before the crew, one leading to the left, other to the right, and a big doorway without a door going straight forward, and something is odd about it. Apple displays holo images of the Fortress plans, the ones that Murriel provided. The maps show hostile forces location and paths that lead to the throne room. However, the mid path is black, and is displaying no data. Opegg was trying to establish the communication with Onka, but without a success. As he looks at the plans he addresses mandalorians and Pax Crew, looking at Lindrala: "We will have to split the teams here. We have to clear all present reinforcements before we reach the final room. If we focus on single path only, they will use it to their adventage to attack us from behind. I will take team to the west and Apple can take team to the east. Not enough of mandalorians made it inside the Fortress. Your team will have to split as well, to assist us."

4. We should not ignore the mid hall.

Lindrala was stunned for a moment, the voice struck her cold... all the world seemed to fade to silence for a moment until suddenly she shuck it off and Opegg's voice was clear again. Her glance fell to the door something drew her attention to it. "I'm not certain splitting our forces is wise for now, the enemy will expect us to keep pushing at them, perhaps we should take the middle path..."

"We don't have necessary data about that part of the Fortress. The Zeltron had her job only half baked." Opegg points towards the mid door: "Ghez, scout ahead. The Jedi is right, we need to know what is this passage about." Mandalorian Ghez nods and takes his gun, moving towards the passage, and then enters through it. Apple moves towards Murriel and looks her in eyes and smiles: "Thank you Miss Murriel. I saw what you did back there, you saved my life." Apple's gratitude is being interrupted by Ghez's scream. Mandalorians grip their guns in alert mode. Ghez returns from the mid hall, with small clouds of the dark mist. His hands hang lifeless, and his head is laying on his shoulders. Ghez lost his gun, and is standing with crooked legs, walking slowly towards the crew. Suddenly a lightsaber's red beam exits his chest, and moves up cutting him on half. He splits apart, revealing the spirit of Marr standing behind. Opegg frowns and orders: "Open Fire!"

1. No wait!

Lindrala looks at the spirit of Marr shocked. "Wait Opegg, hold your fire... your weapons will have no effect on him." Lindrala raises her hand signeling for the pax crew not to attack Marr.

Spoiler:

Opegg signals to his men to abort the attack, but everyone still keeps their guns ready. Spirit of Marr deactivates his lightsaber, standing between the crew and the mid hall. "Your follower has been claimed by the witch as soon he stepped into the mist. You cannot take this path." Marr turns towards Lindrala, and looks at her missing hand. "I am no longer certain if even you could. But she will not linger here for long."

2. She?

"Marr... Who is it that you speak of?" Lindrala glances passed him to the door once more... "What is in there?"

Marr nods. "You probably have felt her presence. Conjured from your own blood, from the death. She is now direct link to the Netherworld, from where the Mother drains power from. Search your feelings and you will find out the truth. But she will not be what you remember her as. She is more of a Force than anything else. Trapped in this place, ready to flee as soon the Mother no longer has the strength to contain her. If that happens, the galaxy will have a new threat."

1. Mist?

Lindrala closes her eyes as Marr finished his words, she knew the truth but still it felt impossible. She was not ready to accept what this meant. "And this Mist you speak of, it allows the witches to posses us?"

Marr answers. "Worse. In order to protect the link to the Netherworld, the Mother has awakened four out of five old sisters to guard the passage, each heavily advanced in specific aspect of the Force. They conjured the Mist of Nightmare and the Dark Storm, bringing forth beings from the dreams of Dathamorians. They can exist in the mist only, but may cross their path to our plane of existence, as long they remain near the boards of the Mist. The mist itself is negative energy of the force, consuming all the life it touches, and with it grows stronger, as it feeds. Those slain by the mist rise as mindless undead under the witches control."

5. Free RP.

Lindrala looks to each of her crew, then to the mandalorians then back to Marr. "Avoiding the mist would seem like the wise option, Marr are you able to aid us against the enemy?"

"I already am. But I cannot help you against your blood enemy. There is a risk that I get trapped with her as well, because the witches know how to deal with those that crossed beyond. Should that happen, the Mother will have another power source to drain from - me. The one she uses was brought here from your essence, and only by it can be slain. This is the only path that leads to her. You will not have another chance to face her here. The Force guided you this far, but the choice is still yours." Opegg frowns at all this, crap to him: "We don't have time for some spiritual nonsense. Jedi (Lindrala), our communications are cut. We don't have reinforcements, and we need your help to proceed. You cannot seriously consider what this thing is saying? How can you even know that this thing is not one of the mist's spawns, trying to lure you in?" Apple was obviously afraid of all the things, but even through the fear, the courage and honesty of his heart makes him speak: "The risk is too big to ignore this ... if that thing that powers up the Mother walks away free, how many other lives will be lost? Sir Opegg, we are Mandalorians, we can deal with the enemies that are on our way. What we cannot do is these jedi stuff! They make things safe, not only for our clan, but for everybody. We need to do our job, so that they can do theirs and keep the galaxy safe place." Opegg shakes his head at Apple "Your courage is inspiring, but if the plans are accurate, we will be outnumbered."

5. [Ask crew]

Lindrala thinks on Marr's words... again she looks at the door ahead a determined feeling sparks inside her but then she also glances back to her missing hand. Lindrala turns to Aya. "My Padawan, I do not believe I have the strength alone to defend us from the mists but as Jedi... we cannot leave this darkness unchecked, you have the power, the light within you that could help protect us from the Mist, together we can cast down this evil, will you stand with me?"

After finishes healing Aspen and eyes Lindrala. "Yes Master Lindrala. I have spent all my life studying the ways of the Force. Force barrier is a very basic application of the Force. There should be no problem for me to create mist free area for us. But there will not be enough room for everyone. We will not be able to take Opegg and his men with us."

"You can't be serious." Oyo objects, it was finally time for him to speak against this madness. "All her life is not that long Lindrala. You cannot learn everything from a library, you need experience that comes from real missions. I've been to the dark side once, she is too young to put this weight on her shoulders. As she said, this is basic application of the Force, any Jedi can do this, as long they are capable to maintain the field all the way long to the end. And if she is the one, then we will lose valuable healer. No offense to the plant creature, but he did not prove of being capable to carry us in the battles before, nor he left me the reason to trust him that he will be able to heal us through anything that the mist throws at us. I can do this instead of her."

2) Aya

"Your strength lies in battle Oyo as does my own, the light energy Aya has running through her gives her the bast chance of holding the barrier, it will be upto me and you to defend her and the others from the enemy, this is our best chance of success."

Aya smiles at Lindrala. "Thank you for having faith in me." The padawan walks over to her master. She did not like how the other jedi was so quick to dismiss her. This was perfect opportunity for Aya to prove herself that she is not just like any other padawan.
