RAY SHIELD
Ray shields varied in size according to what they were protecting. A personal energy shield was a defensive technology that projected a field of energy that protected the user from blaster fire, the elements, or other hazards. Most were small enough to be worn on a belt or arm, or were designed to be held much like a traditional physical shield. Ray shields can protect you from bolts damage.

Echani perk allows your shields to block melee damage from sources like swords or lightsabers. Arkanian perk allows your shields to block energy damage from tech and force powers. Evolution C allows you to shield one more target, and also allows you to counter outside of your turn once per round to shield a target.
Ray Shields automatically restore at the start of every round if they do not hit zero Shield Points. If allies do not have proper shield generator, their shield points will not regenerate. If they hit zero points they need to be restored manually, using an action.
Ray Shields: A ray shield, a type of deflector shield, was a protective force field. There were two basic types of energy shields: ray shields, which absorbed radiation and blaster bolts and particle shields, which repulsed solid objects. Although ray shields could be used to defend planetary bases, they were more commonly associated with protecting starships from stellar radiation and enemy fire.
To use Ray Shield you must equip a proper tool in your hand. This means that you are subject to overload of the overheat perk. Users of Ray Shield must equip Power CTI.
