SITH ASSASSIN

The Sith assassins were a sect of covert Force-sensitive killers secretly founded by Darth Revan on Malachor V during the Jedi Civil War. Captured Jedi and Sith soldiers who were found to be Force-sensitive were taken to the Trayus Academy to be trained as Sith assassins. These assassins were largely responsible for carrying out the First Jedi Purge that began in 3954 BBY until their defeat and disbandment in 3951 BBY following the Destruction of Malachor V.

Later, the term was used for Sith Inquisitors who fought for the returned Sith Empire during the Great Galactic War and the Cold War that followed it circa 3653 BBY. These Sith assassins specialized in stealth and dealing high amounts of damage to enemies in melee combat. They were known to primarily wield saberstaffs in combat, and were adept at concealing themselves with the Force.

The Sith assassins were unique because they preferred to ambush their intended prey from the shadows rather than engaging them in open combat. Almost always working solo or in small groups, they utilized Stealth field generators and the rare art of Force camouflage to aid their surprise attacks. While some elite assassins fought with lightsabers, the majority utilized less remarkable melee weapons, such as force pikes. These stealth warriors were also unusual in that they drew their power from the Force presence of their prey. The stronger their targets were in the Force, the stronger the hunters became.

FORCE DARKNESS - At level 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, Sith Assassin gains Force Darkness powers. This is Sith Assassin's specific force power and can be learned and improved only by Sith Assassin levels.

Rank 1:
Force Cloak (Su): A Sith Assassin can use the Stealth skill even while being observed. As long as he/she is within 10 feet of some sort of shadow, a Sith Assassin can hide himself/herself from view in the open without anything to actually hide behind. He/She cannot, however, hide in her own shadow. With this shadow technique observes must success on will save +d20 vs Sith Assassin's stealth skill, in order to roll awareness against Sith Assassin's stealth skill. Sith Assassin uses the force and stealth to cloak himself/herself from senses of others, and thus both counters need to success in order to detect Sith Assassin. Hostile actions reveal Sith Assassin's location.

Rank 2:
As long Sith Assassin is undetected, it can do +25% damage to it's target, or +50% if target is of light side alignment.

Rank 3:
As long Sith Assassin is undetected, it can do +50% damage to it's target, or +75% if target is of light side alignment.

Rank 4:
Evolution A: When in stealth, Sith Assassin gains +1 Critical Chance to all attacks
Evolution B: When in stealth, Sith Assassin gains +1 Critical multiplier to all damage

Rank 5:
Evolution A: When in stealth, Sith Assassin gains +1 Critical Chance to all attacks
Evolution B: When in stealth, Sith Assassin gains +1 Critical multiplier to all damage
Evolution C: First hostile action no longer breaks stealth, and damage is increased for +25%

Sith Assassin Evolution - At level 10 Sith Assassin is strong enough to evolve into a new stage. At that levels Sith Assassin can select one of the 3 evolution perks. Sith Assassin can select only one evolution perk. Sith Assassin loses evolution perk if he does not have dark side alignment.

(PERK A) NIGHT FORM: "The Force shall free me" makes Sith Assassin stare into death in eyes, and deny it through a mysterious technique discovered through the Force. Once per episode/mission, if the Sith Assassin receives a killing blow, instead of dying, the Sith Assassin emerges into a Night Form, and suffers half damage to current health points instead. While in Night Form, the Sith Assassin is treated as force ghost which renders one immune to damage unless done by other incorporeal creatures, or energy weapons, energy force powers, and supernatural abilities. Sith Assassin can pass through solid objects, but not force effects, at will. Its attacks ignore natural armor, armor, and shields. In Night Form the Sith always moves silently and cannot be heard with awareness checks if it doesn’t wish to be. A Sith Assassin is immune to mind-affecting effects, poison, sleep, paralysis, stunning, disease, death effects, and any effect that requires a Fortitude save unless it also works on objects. Creature is not subject to critical hits, subdual damage, ability damage, ability drain, energy drain, or death from massive damage or sneak attack. The creature has darkvision (60-foot range). In this form Sith Assassin has 50% less health points than normally. Sith Assassin can deactivate this form as a free action.

(Perk B) FATAL DASH: Nothing gives greater advantage to the Sith Assassin, as knowing the field and having greater mobility. Sith Assassin may teleport behind its target no matter where it is on the gird and strike with full advantage of all stealth bonuses, including full sneak attack damage if the character has that feat. Additionally, each time Sith Assassin dodges an attack that includes square movement, it enters stealth mode. Teleport strike can be used once in 3 rounds, and stealth dodge works every time, providing your stealth is greater than enemy's awareness.

(Perk C) HUNGER SIN: Sith Assassin feasts on the prey they kill. When Sith Assassin kills a target from stealth, for the rest of the battle Sith Assassin no longer needs to do weapon damage rolls. All weapons automatically do maximum damage, if the attack lands at target. Additionally each time Sith Assassin assassinates its prey from stealth, all organic observers within 5 squares who see the frightful attack become shaken for 1 round, and must skip their next turn. A successful Will save (DC 16 + Sith Assassin's class level + Cha modifier) negates this effect. Creatures immune to mind-affecting effects, immune to fear are immune to this frightful attack.
